The management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has officially announced the opening dates for the undergraduate hostel accommodation booking portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a notice released by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Accommodation Officer on behalf of the Dean, hostel booking will be conducted in two phases. This approach is designed to manage high demand, reduce congestion, and ensure a smoother allocation process for students.
ABU Hostel Booking for 2025/2026 Dates
Students eligible for hostel accommodation should take note of the following opening dates:

Important Guidelines Students Must Read Carefully
The university highlighted several important points students should pay close attention to before attempting hostel booking:

Full payment of school fees and course registration is mandatory.
The accommodation portal will not open unless these requirements are completed. -
Bedspaces are allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment confirmation and physical verification with Hall Administrators are required. Delays may lead to loss of a bedspace. -
Buying, selling, or swapping of bedspaces is strictly prohibited.
Any student caught engaging in this practice will face disciplinary actions as stated on the Hall Residency Form. -
Utilities and facilities must be used responsibly.
Misuse or damage to electricity, water systems, or hostel property may attract additional charges. -
300 Level accommodation requests are conditional.
Such requests will only be considered if spaces remain available several weeks after the portal opens. -
End-of-session clearance is compulsory.
All residents must complete clearance with their Hall Administrators before vacating the hostel. Failure to do so may cause problems in future allocations.
