ECWA College of Nursing Sciences, Egbe is currently recruiting qualified administrative and academic staff to fill several vacant positions. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to submit their applications on or before Monday, 19 January 2026.

About ECWA College of Nursing Sciences, Egbe

ECWA College of Nursing Sciences, Egbe was established to provide quality nursing and midwifery education rooted in Christian values. The institution operates on a 40-acre medical complex, comprising:

  • An Academic Campus

  • A Residential Campus

The College currently runs:

  • Basic Nursing

  • Post-Basic Nursing

  • Midwifery programmes

with a student population of about 400 learners.

To sustain its academic and administrative standards, the College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions listed below.

Available Positions

1. Deputy Provost

The Deputy Provost is the second-highest administrative officer of the College and supports the Provost in managing the day-to-day operations.

Requirement:

  • Must be a registered Nurse and Midwife

  • Must be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

  • Must be a qualified Nursing Educator

2. Registrar

The Registrar serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and oversees:

  • Administration

  • Academic support services

  • Student services

  • Information technology and records

The Registrar also supports the Provost in implementing institutional policies and achieving the College’s mission.

3. Nurse Educator

Nurse Educators are responsible for:

  • Teaching and curriculum development

  • Classroom lectures and practical sessions

  • Monitoring student progress and providing academic support

4. Midwife Educator

The Midwife Educator trains future midwives through:

  • Classroom teaching

  • Practical demonstrations

  • Student assessment, feedback, and mentoring

5. Clinical Instructors

Clinical Instructors are experienced nurses who:

  • Supervise students during clinical postings

  • Guide students in real healthcare settings

  • Provide feedback and professional support

6. Physics Lecturer (Part-Time)

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Physics (theory and practicals)

  • Conducting laboratory sessions

  • Assessing students

  • Contributing to curriculum development

Additional Requirement:

  • Good ICT skills

  • Commitment to science education

7. Microbiology Lecturer (Part-Time)

Duties include:

  • Teaching Microbiology

  • Coordinating laboratory activities

  • Student assessment

  • Supporting curriculum improvement

Additional Requirement:

  • ICT competence

  • Strong academic background

  • Interest in training future health professionals
