
The Leventis Foundation Nigeria has opened applications for it’s Leventis Foundation Nigeria 2026, a flagship initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians with practical skills in modern and sustainable agriculture.
Established in 1987, the Leventis Foundation is a renowned charitable organisation committed to youth development, food security, and environmental sustainability. Over the years, the Foundation has trained thousands of successful farmers and agripreneurs across Nigeria through its well-structured agricultural training schools.
About the Leventis Foundation Agricultural Training Programme
The programme offers a fully funded, one-year residential agricultural training designed for young men and women who are passionate about farming and agribusiness. Training combines classroom instruction with intensive hands-on practical experience across multiple agricultural value chains.
The agricultural schools are strategically located across Nigeria’s agro-ecological zones and are jointly funded by the Leventis Foundation and respective State Governments.

Eligibility Criteria
The programme is open to both male and female applicants who meet the following requirements:
Must be physically fit
Ability to read and write in English (minimum of Junior Secondary School education may be required)
Aged between 18 and 40 years
Must pass both written and oral examinations
Demonstrate a clear interest in agriculture
Proof of a farming background is an added advantage
Admission Requirements
Applicants are expected to meet the stated eligibility conditions and demonstrate readiness for intensive agricultural training.
Required Documents for Screening
Applicants should bring the following documents on the examination day:
A handwritten cover letter
A letter of attestation signed by the Chairman or Secretary of the Local Government of Origin, or a Justice of the Peace (JP)
Two (2) recent passport photographs
Three (3) reference letters
Photocopies of academic certificates or relevant documents
Applicants residing close to any of the training schools may also submit physical applications directly at the school locations.
